During the event, a CX-5 equipped with the collision avoidance system drove into a fence and injured two people, including a visitor driving the car. The system is designed to automatically activate the vehicle’s brakes when it detects an obstacle ahead.

Mazda had planned to allow visitors at the motor show, open to the public from 23 November, to try out its Atenza (6) sedan and wagon, both equipped with the same system.
