Automotive fluid systems specialist TI Automotive has opened a new factory in Monterrey, Mexico.

The new, 53,000 square foot facility will produce fluid carrying systems for the new Hyundai/ Kia factory located nearby. TI Automotive is expected to employ around 100 people at full production expected in May 2016.

The new factory is a key additional site for the supplier's global fluid carrying systems (FCS) division and will produce brake and fuel bundles, brake line assemblies and clutch lines with flared tubes. The factory also will be equipped to produce engine line products including water, oil and vacuum tubes, transmission lines and exhaust gas reduction (EGR) pipes.

TI Automotive currently has nine factories in Mexico. They are located in Mexico City, Puebla, Reynosa and San Luis Potosi.
