Car and truck sales in Thailand fell 0.5% in July from the same month in 2005 after a 12.4% drop in June and a 7.3% fall in May, Toyota Motor Corp’s Thai unit said on Friday.

Toyota compiles vehicle sales for the whole industry, a Reuters report noted.
The news agency said domestic car and truck sales reached a record 703,432 in 2005, beating a previous annual high of 626,026 in 2004.
Data obtained by the news agency showed considerable fluctuation in sales gains or losses over the last year with monthly sales varying from 50,638 last month to 77,876 last December.
