THAILAND: Jaguar joins with technology institute for aluminium repair training

Jaguar has introduced a new model XJ with a body made entirely of aluminium. Special welding techniques developed by the aerospace industry were adapted for building the car, and it was designed to be easier to repair than traditional steel-bodied cars. The new XJ is 200 kilogrammes lighter than the steel models, and it passed the FMVSS208 impact resistance standard.
