Ferrari has signed and import and distribution agreement for Thailand with Cavallino Motors Co Ltd, a newly established private company controlled by Chalem Yoovidhya, chairman and chief executive of Siam Winery and Red Bull UK.
Ferrari has not had an official distributor for more than a year, with its cars available only on the grey market.
The new distributor is building new headquarters, with show room and service centre, on Bangkok’s Petchburi road. The site is scheduled to be completed at the end of 2009. The company expected to sell 8-9 units this year, with annual sales rising to around 20 units from 2010.
