Around 12 Daewoo dealers are expected to follow suit as the head office of Daewoo is unable to source neither new cars nor spare parts.
Daewoo Motor’s distributor in Thailand – Thai Daewoo Motor Sales – is to shut
down following the bankruptcy of its South Korean parent, say Asian news sources
(19/12/00).
Around 12 Daewoo dealers are expected to follow suit as the head office of
Daewoo is unable to source neither new cars nor spare parts.
The remaining distrbutor’s stock of cars and parts will be auctioned off either
to dealers or any other interested parties in order to raise enough revenue
to pay off its 40 employees.
