Toyota’s global assembly operations have been hit by flooding for the second time this year.
The company is to suspend operations at four factories in North America on Saturday because flooding in Thailand could hamper parts supply.

It is undecided whether to resume operations from Monday, the Japanese carmaker said, adding it will make a judgment after monitoring the situation in Thailand.
Plants affected are in Indiana and Kentucky and a Canadian plant in Ontario, which produce Camry and Corolla models, and an engine plant in West Virginia.
The stoppage in Toyota’s biggest market follows its move to halt overtime operations at its plants in Japan. Production in North America only got back to normal last month after the earthquake and tsunami in Japan in March forced the automaker to slash global production.
