Toyota Motor said it would resume production at a Thai plant from Monday (21 November) after being forced to halt operations there for about a month due to the massive flooding in the country.

Toyota will adjust production levels at the plant based on the supply chain situation and may halt operations again depending on developments in the aftermath of the natural disaster, a company official told Kyodo News.

The automaker is also expected to boost production in Japan to nearly normal levels and continue normal operations in North America from Monday to 2 December, it said.

The automaker halted output at subsidiary Toyota Motor Thailand on 10 October and reduced output in nine other countries including Japan and the United States due to supply chain disruptions triggered by the flooding.
