Mitsubishi Motors, which has temporarily halted production at Thailand’s Laem Chabang plant since the night shift on 13 October, has now extended the closure to 5 November.
“[MMC] will continue monitoring the situation in Thailand and, based on developments, will decide on whether or not to restart its production operation from 7 November and onwards,” the automaker said in a statement.

Last week, MMC officials said they expected vehicle output in Thailand to decline by 30,000 to 35,000 units if the local plants remain idled throughout November due to the widespread flooding in the country.
Although the company’s facilities have not been directly affected by the flooding, vehicle production, including pickup trucks and sport utility vehicles, has been suspended due to parts supply problems.
