Brake supplier Akebono said Thai operations had been temporarily suspended from 12 October following shutdowns at automotive OEM customers and a date for the resumption of operations has not yet been determined.
Akebono said it was also investing the impact the flood would make on its business performance.
Like several OEMs with factories in Thailand, the supplier is helping people in affected areas. It has donated JPY10m (US$131,269) towards relief and recovery efforts.
