Tesla has reported a drop in annual vehicle deliveries in 2024, despite record production in the fourth quarter (Q4).
For the year 2024, Tesla’s production totalled 1,773,443 vehicles, with deliveries reaching 1,789,226 units.

The Model 3/Y series contributed these figures, with over 1.6 million units produced and delivered.
Other models contributed with 94,105 produced and 85,133 delivered.
In contrast, the 2023 annual production and delivery figures were higher, with 1,845,985 vehicles produced and 1,808,581 delivered.
The Model 3/Y series was the main contributor, with 1,775,159 units produced and 1,739,707 delivered, while the other models had lower production and delivery figures in 2023.
In Q4 2024, Tesla reported production of 459,445 vehicles and delivery of 495,570. This marks a slight drop from figures in Q4 2023.
Tesla produced 494,989 vehicles and delivered 484,507 units in Q4 2023, with the Model 3/Y series accounting for 476,777 vehicles produced and 461,538 units delivered.
The Q4 2024 production numbers also showed contribution from the Model 3/Y series, with 436,718 units produced and 471,930 units delivered. Other models saw 22,727 units produced and 23,640 units delivered.
Furthermore, the company reported ‘record’ deployment of 11.0 GWh of energy storage products during Q4 2024.
The third quarter of 2024 saw Tesla’s production at 469,796 units, a significant increase from 411,000 in the second quarter of the same year.
Deliveries also rose to 462,890 units from 444,000 in Q2, following two successive quarters of decline.
