Tesla is axing its entry level Model S in the UK after just a year on sale.
In an email to potential buyers, it said it had introduced the Model S 60kWh battery version "as a more affordable option to accelerate the adoption of electric vehicles".

"However, most customers ended up buying an equivalent to the Model S 75kWh. To simplify the ordering process for our customers, we will be removing the 60 kWh option from our lineup."
The model will be available to order until 16 April.
"Any 60kWh Model S [owners] will have the ability to upgrade their battery to 75kWh via an over the air update," Tesla added.
UK models are final assembled at a factory in the Netherlands.
