Tata Motors has announced a new campaign targeting India's Central and State government employees – 'Trust of India'. It says that 'Trust of India' is a dedicated initiative which focuses on building relationships and a strong customer base among government employees.

The initiative "recognises the contributions of government employees towards building the nation" said Tata. It includes benefits such as additional cash discounts or the option to buy extended warranty policy on Tata cars.

Mr Mayank Pareek, President, Passenger Vehicle Business Unit, Tata Motors said: "We are very delighted to introduce the Trust of India initiative, which recognises and rewards the contribution of India's valuable government employees as part of our institutional sales. We are committed towards building a strong and long-lasting relationship with our corporate customers and we look forward to being their preferred automobile brand of choice."

Under the offer, customers can also obtain finance facilities through Tata Motors Finance Limited.

Tata Motors is struggling in its home market this year. In May, its sales fell by 27%, failing to even reach the 10,000 mark. The total of just 9,456 passenger vehicles was in spite of the brand having added the new Tiago small car from April. Sales of the still fresh Bolt and Zest, two other small models, dipped by 17% in both cases.
