GM orders on average annually over 11m parking sensors, more than the capacity of TTE’s factories in Taiwan and China in 2011. TTE’s parking sensor shipments will peak in 2015.

TTE said GM has also ordered blind spot information system (BLIS), parking assist system/auto parking system and other equipment which will further help diversify TTE’s revenue sources. TTE is the world’s third-largest supplier of parking sensors.

Compared with other major international suppliers of parking sensors, industry insiders said, TTE focuses on automotive safety systems.
