Sales in the first five months of 2014 increased by 13.8% to 170,365 units.

Hotai Motor, which distributes Toyota and Lexus vehicles, reported a 19.3% increase to 12,518 units in May, helped by strong sales of the new Vios model and of the Corolla Altis [sedan]. The company’s share of the vehicle market remained above 34%.

Yulon Nissan Motor, which distributes Nissan and Infiniti vehicles, reported a 21.9% increase in sales to 4,063 cars last month to claim a market share of just over 11%.
