Local media sources report that Syria’s Industry Ministry is examining a proposal by Syria’s state-run General Organisation for Engineering Industries (GOEI) to set up a car assembly company in Syria.
The reports indicate that a prospective foreign partner has already been lined up for the joint venture between GOEI, Syrian investors and a ‘well-known foreign company’.
