Volvo has appointed a new head of research & development as well as a new head of global marketing.

Peter Mertens will take on the role as senior vice president, research & development, while Richard Monturo assumes the role as vice president, global marketing at Volvo Car Corporation’s headquarters in Gothenburg.
 
Peter Mertens has more than 20 years of experience in the automotive industry, recently serving as head of quality at Jaguar Land Rover/Range Rover and head of corporate quality at Tata Motors India.

He has also held several positions within Daimler Chrysler and General Motors.
