Volvo Buses de Mexico has received an order for 340 first-class and luxury coaches in Mexico from the ADO Group. Volvo says the value of the order amounts to approximately US$70 million and the deliveries will take place during a fourteen-months period starting October 2002.

The majority of coaches are Volvo 9700, both two and three axles, based on the TX platform, and some Volvo three-axle Volvo 7550s.
The ADO Group is one of the leading operators in the Mexican bus and coach market, with a strong role in intercity passenger transportation in the southern half of the country. More than 95% of all intercity passenger transportation in Mexico is undertaken by bus or coach.
