With increased production capacity in this state-of-the-art plant, Trelleborg will now be better able to meet increasing demand from the automotive industry in China.
The Wuxi plant, which has approximately 300 employees, will produce anti-vibration systems and other vehicle components.
The plant replaces an earlier facility in Wuxi and represents a doubling of production capacity. The plant has a total area of nearly 20,000 square metres and has been designed according to high standards with regard to environmental considerations.
Trelleborg Automotive has also recently opened a technical centre in Shanghai.
The Wuxi unit is owned 55% by Trelleborg and 45% by the Wuxi Guolian Group.
