According to a report in the Swedish daily Dagens Industri, Saab’s Trollhattan plant will begin building cars again on 27 May. The newspaper quotes the manager of the facility, Gunnar Brunius, as stating that up to 100 cars are planned to be built tomorrow.
Trollhattan has been idle for some six weeks, following a dispute over later payments to suppliers. In that time, the company has negotiated two deals with China-based partners, the most recent of which is still in the approval stages with stakeholders.
