Interior components maker Collins & Aikman Corp. is planning to close a plant in Sweden by the end of 2002 according to Swedish media reports.
Reports say that the company has been forced to shut down capacity on profitability grounds and that a plant in Hogsater which supplies Volvo cars and Jaguar is facing closure.
It is speculated that the Hogsater plant’s manufacturing activity will be taken over by the company’s plant in Skara, Sweden.
