Claes has been with Volvo since 1982 and has a solid and varied background at Volvo Trucks. His last assignment was as vice president retail development in the European Division.
He took up his position on 1 May and succeeded Claes Svedberg, who has taken up a position as vice president for the alliance office.
Nilsson will be based at the AB Volvo headquarters in Gothenburg, Sweden.
