Volkswagen’s Spanish Unit – Seat SA – is expected to see profit margins rise this year after a fall of 42 per cent in 1999, says Bloomberg News (13/9/00) citing Chief Executive Bernd Pischetsrieder.
For the first eight months of the year, the company registered a sales increase of 9.2 per cent to 357,283 units. Sales outside Spain increased to 230,132 units, or 10.2 per cent, says the report.
