Vehicle output in Spain stood at 267,041 units in October 2004, an 11.3% year-on-year decrease, the Spanish National Carmakers Association (ANFAC) said.
The drop resulted from the lower number of work days in October 2004, the Spanish News Digest reported.
Vehicle production in Spain totalled 2.56 million units for the first 10 months of 2004, an increase by 0.09% year-on-year.
Passenger car production stood at 214,039 units in October 2004, an 11.9% year-on-year decrease, and at 2.05 million units from January to October 2004, an increase of 1.5% year-on-year. Commercial vehicles output dropped 10.4% year-on-year in October 2004 and 3.8% year-on-year in the first 10 months of 2004.
Vehicle exports stood at 221,221 units in October 2004, a 12.4% year-on-year decrease, and at 2.1 million units in the first 10 months of 2004, down 0.8% year-on-year. Passenger car exports dropped 12.9% year-on-year to 176,327 units in October 2004, but increased by 0.5% year-on-year to 1.67 million units in the 10 months to October 2004.
