Auto motor und sport magazine said a Spanish internet publication called Hispanidad, reported that Audi representatives met with Fiat executives in Spain to discuss the possible sale of Seat to the Italian company.
A Volkswagen spokesperson denied that the sale of Seat is on the cards.
A Fiat spokesperson similarly denied the report, saying that Fiat has enough to do to reinvigorate its own brand, without taking on struggling brand like Seat.
