New car sales in Spain rose 13.4% year-on-year in November, provisional data from the national carmakers’ association ANFAC showed on Wednesday, according to Reuters.

Between January and the end of November sales rose 10.5% to 1.39 million cars, the report said.
Sales of four-wheel drive vehicles rose 16.8% to 9,096 compared with a year earlier, leaving a total for the year to date of 89,194, an increase of 19.1%, Reuters reported.
According to the report, SNFAC figures show Spain produced just over 3 million vehicles in 2003, but almost 2.5 million of those were exported and the sector accounted for close to a quarter of all Spanish exports.
