“I am delighted to welcome Arnaud de David-Beauregard as my successor,” said Tyroller. “His knowledge of the automotive industry and his business experience will be crucial for CLEPA.”

Since spring, 2012, CLEPA has added 20 new organisations to its membership.

“The network we were able to access has been critical in getting us where we are today,” said CLEPA CEO, Jean-Marc Gales.

“Joining forces gives the automotive suppliers a stronger voice in policy shaping. Moreover CLEPA is launching a range of additional services.”

CLEPA says its Global Management Programme – developed and delivered in collaboration with Imperial College Business School – is the first result of those extra possibilities.

A CLEPA statement noted in spite of the crisis , the automotive suppliers industry remains “one of the largest employers and leaders in innovation.” Automotive suppliers collectively employ 5m people in Europe.

David-Beauregard’s appointment was announced at CLEPA’s general assembly in Madrid this week.

“The solution for current problems is not to give money for the closure of factories but for fostering innovation,” said Gales.

“I have full confidence in the continuing resolve of our members to create value and excel in the global marketplace.”
