Spanish automotive components manufacturer Ficosa International has posted an 8.4 million euro loss for 2001. The company is continuing restructuring operations to reduce its cost base.
In 2001 Ficosa closed a plant in Italy, rationalised its Spanish operations and moved some production from Germany to Poland. The company also reduced its staff by 500 in 2001 – 8% of its staff.
