South Korean authorities have ordered Tata Daewoo Commercial Vehicle, an Indian-controlled joint venture there, to recall around 3,000 trucks for safety reasons, local officials have said.
The recall was due to a problem discovered in the auxiliary part of the steering system in Tata Daewoo trucks made from 16 August, 2004 to the end of 2007, the transportation ministry said in a statement cited by AFP. The recall affects 3,276 vehicles.
Repairs began at dealerships on Monday.
Tata Daewoo was launched in 2004 when Tata Motors purchased Daewoo Commercial Vehicle.
