Having been previewed by multiple concepts in recent years, the production version of SsangYong’s small SUV has been announced. The Tivoli will be launched worldwide from early 2015.
This new B-SUV was developed by SsangYong and its parent company Mahindra & Mahindra under the X100 project code. In Korea, the Tivoli will challenge the Chevrolet Trax and Samsung QM3, the latter being a rebadged Renault Captur.
European sales will start in mid-2015, the brand’s UK importer told just-auto.com earlier on 25 November. Only the standard wheelbase model is expected to be sold in Europe, with an additional LWB model thought to be just for South Korea and China.
M&M is due to announce its own versions of the Tivoli later in 2015. These vehicles’ codenames are S101 and S102.
