Domestic sales for the first five months grew 18.6% with Korando C and Korando Sports volume up 14.7% and 31.7% respectively.
May exports slipped 8.8% due to reduced working days and priority given to domestic supply, Ssangyong said, but YTD shipments grew 4.2% due to demand from western Europe and China.
CEO Lee Yoo-il said: “Even though our domestic sales in May dropped slightly from the previous year due to reduced working days, our cumulative sales still show an uptrend.”
