South Korea’s Renault Samsung has agreed with the Seoul municipal authorities to supply a small fleet electric vehicles for use as local taxis, as part of a pilot project aimed at promoting the use of zero emissions vehicles for public transport.
The carmaker will provide 10 SM3 ZEs to a Seoul taxi company free of charge for an eight-month period starting this month while the city authorities will provide recharging facilities and waiver taxes and toll road fees.
