South Korean steelmaker Posco is to supply light-weight magnesium sheets to Porsche for use in the roof of the German car company’s new 911 GT3 RS high-performance sportscar – unveiled at this month’s Geneva Motor Show.

Posco said it is the first time magnesium will be used for limited volumes of body parts.
