Nexans has acquired a 51 percent stake in the fourth-largest cable manufacturer in South Korea for an undisclosed amount. Nexans, created by the merger of Alcatel Cables and Components, now has a controlling stake in Daesung Cable which produces specialist cables for the automotive and telecommunications industry.
