About 270 Ssangyong Motor workers on compulsory leave since last February returned to work on Monday, the last of 415 people furloughed while work on a new assembly line was completed.
The returned employees will be retrained for pilot Korando C production, officials said.
Ssangyong has also modified another assembly line to enable the Rexton, Kyron, Actyon and Actyon Sports -to be built on one track, allowing the automaker to increase efficiency and adapt to changes in demand more flexibly, it said.
Ssangyong now has three assembly lines.
