Hyundai Motor Company has announced the appointment of a new CEO and four other promotions. Park Hwang-Ho, 57, formerly senior executive vice president of planning has been named Hyundai Motor’s new CEO and president responsible for planning and sales replacing Dr Kim Dong-Jin who becomes vice chairman.

A graduate of Seoul National University’s Department of Aerospace Engineering, Pres. Park joined Hyundai Motor in 1968 and specialised for most of his career in manufacturing before joining the planning division.
At the same time, Jeon Cheon-Soo, formerly head of the Ulsan Plant, assumes the new title of president of manufacturing. Shin Hyun-Oh, the former executive vice president of production development, has been promoted to senior executive vice president of production technology while Asan plant head Ahn Joo-Soo has been promoted to senior executive vice president of the plant.
