Hyundai Motor, named by a British paper as a possible buyer of Volvo Car, has denied such plans.

“We do not have any interest in buying Volvo or Jaguar or Land Rover,” spokesman Jake Jang told the Associated Press (AP) in South Korea.

Hyundai, named by the Sunday Times as a potential suitor for Volvo, said it was too busy pursuing its own expansion plans.

“Our hands are full now,” Jang told AP.” We are in the process of building global manufacturing facilities from China to the United States and Europe.”

The news agency noted that Hyundai had also denied a February report it was interested in buying Jaguar.
