SOUTH KOREA: Hyundai Atoz to be assembled in Malaysia
Hyundai has reached a deal with Industri Otomotif Komersial to assemble and distribute its tiny Atoz subcompact car in Malaysia from September. Local assembly is the only way to crack the heavily protected Malaysian market and Hyundai is hoping to start with 20,000 cars a year, increasing to 35,000 by 2005.
