South Korea’s Hyundai Motor hopes to finalize talks with DaimlerChrysler on making a joint bid for Daewoo Motor by this weekend, but if the negotiations are not successful, the companies will have to participate in Daewoo’s auction as separate entities, said a spokesman at Hyundai on Tuesday.
