GM Daewoo Auto and Technology said the Chevrolet Aveo showcased at the Paris show will be launched in South Korea during the first half of next year.
Although the Aveo has been developed as the follow up to GM Daewoo’s small car, the Gentra, the company said the name and brand under which the vehicle will be marketed there have not yet been decided.

The company is planning to introduce the Chevrolet brand, under which most of its exports are sold, to Korea next year, beginning with the Camaro. It currently sells most models branded Daewoo.
GM Daewoo forecast this year’s sales will increase 11% compared to last year. The company projected that this year’s tally is likely to be 1.7m units, helped by new models such as the Alpheon sedan, launched last month.
During the first nine months of the year, the company’s domestic sales and exports, including knockdown kits, totalled 1.35m units.
