GM Daewoo Auto & Technology Co. plans to export 650,000 vehicles this year, up from 443,460 units in 2003, according to Dow Jones Newswires.


The report added that the company aims to sell more than 200,000 vehicles in western Europe, helped by the launch of new models such as the Lacetti (Nubira) hatchback and station wagon.


Dow Jones said that GM Daewoo sold 133,238 vehicles there last year, surging 21.6% from 109,588 units in 2002 and taking 0.75% of market share.


Earlier this month, the company announced its total sales target for 2004 is 800,000 vehicles, the report said.
