General Motors’ South Korean unit GM Daewoo Auto & Technology Co.’s more than doubled car sales in November to 63,033 units from 28,822 units a year ago, fuelled by brisk exports, a Dow Jones report said.

GM DATCO exports rose to 55,030 units last month from 18,597 units a year earlier though domestic sales declined 21.7% on year to 8,003 units from 10,225 units, the report said, adding that the company attributed the sales increase to strong exports to North America, Europe and China.


Dow Jones said that, during the first 11 months of the year, GM Daewoo’s sales rose 46.5% to 504,201 units from 344,191 units a year ago. Eleven-month domestic sales fell 15.6% to 118,271 units, while exports jumped 89% to 385,930 units, the report added.
