The National Association of Automobile Manufacturers of SA had said that new vehicle sales declined 19,7% year on year in July.
“Tighter monetary conditions, rising inflation and high household debt levels should continue to put pressure on vehicles in the months ahead,” Nedbank said, according to local news agency Sapa.
