Honda has ranked highest in South Africa for a second consecutive year, improving by 9 index points since 2006 according to the JD Power and Associates/CAR Magazine 2007 South Africa Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI).

Mercedes-Benz improved 21 points – more than any other top-five ranked brand – to follow Honda. Rounding out the top five were Audi, BMW and Volvo, respectively.
Honda performed particularly well in the areas of quality/reliability and service satisfaction, while Mercedes-Benz performed well in vehicle appeal and Audi performed particularly well in ownership costs.
JD Power said automakers; overall satisfaction scores continued to improve steadily and reached a record-high level for a second consecutive year.
It said that, though customers seem to be more satisfied with vehicle quality and reliability as well as vehicle appeal, service satisfaction and ownership cost satisfaction levels are “not on par”.
