Slovenian automobile manufacturer Revoz, a unit of France’s Renault, has commenced production of the new Twingo model.
The plant’s maximum annual output capacity is 210,000 of Twingo and Clio II cars, Renault said in a statement.
The Renault Clio II model is now produced only in Slovenia.
The company has hired an additional 700 employees for the launch of the new production.
The Slovenian plant produced 153,103 cars last year, down from 177,945 in 2005, but 19% above plan.
