PSA Peugeot Citroen is to halt production in Slovakia next month due to planned maintenance and also a slow-down in market demand.
The assembly plant, in the western Slovak town of Trnava, will stop production between 1 and 26 August, resuming operations on 30 August.

PSA made 186,150 cars in Slovakia last year, down from 205,000 in 2009. The company plans to spend EUR130m (US$185m) at the plant site to add a new model, due next year, creating around 900 new jobs.
It currently makes Peugeot 207s and the Citroen C3 Picasso.
Volkswagen stopped production at it Slovak site for two weeks in July and will resume operations on Monday. The Slovak unit of Kia Motors has a scheduled two week summer holiday pause between 25 July and 5 August and will restart production on 8 August.
