General Motors aims to more than double its sales in China to around 5m units by 2015, up from 2.35m last year.
Its China chief Kevin Wale said the company will introduce around 60 new and upgraded models in China over the next five years, including 12 Buicks and 15 Chevrolets.
He said: “We have set some aggressive goals with our five-year plan. We are confident that we will achieve every one of our goals.”
Chevrolet is launching its new Malibu, replacing a model of the same name in North America and the Chevrolet Korea (nee GM-DAT) Epica elsewhere.
