The first sales of the Russia-produced vehicle are planned for April.


Volkswagen’s Russia plant is at Kaluga where it is now producing VW Jettas and Passats, as well as Skoda Fabia, Octavia and Octavia Tour cars.


The Kaluga plant expects to produce 100,000 vehicles in 2009, compared to the 115,000 originally scheduled.
