VW’s plant in the city of Kaluga plans to assemble 66,000 Skoda and Volkswagen cars in 2008.
In 2009, a second production line at the plant is planned to be installed – which will increase the plant’s annual capacity to 150,000 cars. A bodyshop and paintshop will also be added.
Production at the plant commenced at the end of November last year.
