According to the Prime-Tass news agency, UAZ, which is part of Russian automaker Severstal-Auto, manufactures four-wheel drive cars and sports utility vehicles and exports to countries in the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS), the Middle East, Afghanistan, Mongolia, Ethiopia and other countries.
