Net profit at Ulyanovsk Automobile Plant (UAZ) fell to 124.1m rubles in July-September from 431.0m rubles in April-June, the company said on Wednesday, blaming planned expenses on employees’ holidays in July and August and on the plant’s upgrading.

According to the Prime-Tass news agency, UAZ, which is part of Russian automaker Severstal-Auto, manufactures four-wheel drive cars and sports utility vehicles and exports to countries in the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS), the Middle East, Afghanistan, Mongolia, Ethiopia and other countries.
